If the same people pass by that area almost everyday, they will instantly recognize the ad and will also memorize the message in it.

So in a nutshell, it is safe to say that these banners are actually almost as effective as the usual types of advertising mediums. One of the best things about them is that they are inexpensive. So if one is given only a small budget for marketing costs, then it would be great if he would try using these tools.
